On Sunday 24th of April 2016, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP parliamentary candidate for Tamale central were in Changli Electoral Area to greet the chief of that area and to also interact with the people. During the interaction, the people made an appeal to the running mate of the opposition leader Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo that , if NPP come to power they will need a big wall around their KVIP public toilet.
Dr. Bawumia told them that he will do the project for them just the following week. The people were very happy to receive such good news from the NPP running mate and his team. Just a day after the promise of the NPP man, the residents of that area were given a surprise visit with a Tipper track loaded with sea-sun and the tipper track was coming from Hon. Inusah Fuseini. The people blew an alarm and the residents came out in their numbers and rejected the swift intervention from the MP, They chased them out.
To the people, it was an insult to them. Where was he all these years as they kelp asking questions. According to them, they have made several appeals to the MP about the project but he never gave them any attention. So why now? What has changed?
The question many residents asked was that is it because Dr. Bawumia is coming to their aid?
