Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa is currently Ghana’s Deputy
Minister of Education in charge of Tertiary Education. He is the MP for North
Tongu constituency a reliable source disclosed to us that he has collaborated with
some officials of Ghana Education Service GES; to collect names of minors of some
junior high schools in the North and South Tungo constituency. The purpose of this name collection is to get
these under aged school pupil onto the already blotted electoral register.
Confirmed
report from an undisclosed source told us that they will give forms to these minors
to fill at home.
After completion of
the forms special cameras will be used to capture their photographs to be
uploaded unto the EC’s system without the kids making any appearance at the
polling stations. This strategy devised by the MP will make it difficult for EC
officials or other representatives of other political parties to detect or
challenge any minor registration at the centre. These are the names of the
schools in contention Battor Meth JHS, Battor RC JHS, Battor D/A JHS, Manya D/A
JHS. Mepe RC JHS, Mepe Presbyterian JHS. The above schools are in the Volta Region
and in the following towns Adidokpoe, Vome, Kledeke, Aglobakpo, and Ngorlekpoe.
According to our source, a number of circuit supervisors and head
teachers of the Ghana Education Service whose names are withheld played a major
role in this operation that assisted Mr. Ablakwa to carry out his operation
successfully.
