How she was killed and pushed inside a suitcase

The body of a young woman was found stuffed inside a suitcase outside of a San Diego motel, police said. A man spotted the suspicious luggage parked next to the Chadwick Hotel’s garbage cans when he took out his trash Wednesday morning, police said.

“I dropped (the garbage) and looked down and saw hair, black hair coming out,” the man, who asked not to be identified, said “Because it was zipped up, but you could still see the hair.”

The man called police, who opened up the black rolling bag and found the remains of a young woman. Police have not identified the victim or detailed her cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.

No missing persons reports have been filed since Wednesday, Lt. Ray Valentin with the San Diego Police Department said. The Chadwick Hotel, in the city’s Core-Colombia neighborhood, houses many locals who rent out the rooms by the month. Neighbors consider it a safe area.
“Scary as hell,” resident David Bloomer told the TV station. “Just goes to show when you think things are safe they’re usually not.”
